Weird, I married a man and he isn't a douchebag at all. Funny how when we stop blaming other people for our own shortcomings and realize life isn't a fairy tell with perfect "happily ever after" we become happier people. I'm not perfect, never claimed to be. And he's not perfect, never claimed to be. And by accepting imperfection (and not blowing flaws out of proportion!) we have a very full and happy marriage.

This song is so beautiful. It reminds me of a relationship i had and he would break up with me just to ask me out again a month later and how I would think it was my fault he was leaving me. We still talk and I still love him but I dont know what to do anymore. He has hurt me allot and I dont want to be hurt again but I want to be with him. He makes me happy when we are together but I wont allow it anymore. So basically I'm hurting myself by staying away from him to keep from getting hurt.

i know it is hard but try not to worry about it too much. not to make light of the situation but had you stuck with him in time it is likely you would have come to learn he is just as big a douchebag as most other guys, just like I myself am a douchebag. it is a sad truth, but we guys are all the same

very interesting how people can all see their own story in this song.I used to cry over it a million times because I had cheated on my first big love and regretted it for years because afterwards I realized how much I actually loved him.well,life teaches us many lessons.this song talks about the very important issue of self forgiveness after making a mistake.
