As rare as it will get: During the latter portion of season 13, "that show" went through an unusual "POP" integration phase....This clip here even had us wondering at STFANS..Why?? LOL. Enjoy. Love, STFANS.

That may have been a smart move on the Purple One's part. I've always wondered had he first appeared on ST first early in his career, would he have gotten idiotic questions or comments from DC? I'm still reeling after seeing his interview with former dancer Jermaine Stewart in 1988. The comment about his hair and fashion style, IMO, was uncalled for.

WOW!!!! All those years I've known The Show like rock and roll too. But I'm very surprised that Van Halen was played on The Line.

On another note, Jeffrey and Jody must have been really pissed off when they saw Micki and Delissa lip syncing their background vocals for "Dead Giveaway" They left Shalamar only a few short months before.

Ok thanks 4 the info. I guess Shalamar did'nt have anymore new material at the time, so thats why they used the slightly year old song, "Dead Giveaway." They appeared on the show one more time (with Hewitt) in early 1985 to do "My Girl Loves Me" and "Amnesia." At that time, they were nominated for a grammy for "Don't Get Stopped" despite of its lowest charted single.

Ok. I'll fill ya'll in. Shalamar defintley performed "Dancin' In The Sheets". Strangely enough they DID perform "Dead Giveaway" as thier second song...and yes they performed it with Micki Free & Delissa Davis.

I may be wrong, but I think this eppy was taped on the same weekend as the OB/R2R eppy because Lou and Cheryl are wearing the same clothes (as seen on the Art of Noise ID Break clip) and when you mentioned "[portion deleted)"
