I am so sorry for your lose. He said, "Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." Rest on that Mountian of Christ.

I wanted to mention that Amy and Vince had an on-going affair in the 90s while they were both each still married to their first spouses, before they got divorced and remarried. The whole affair, divorce, remarriage was completely adulterous and it DESTROYED two families. I cannot imagine that Amy's first husband (Gary) or Vince's first wife (Janis) or their children, are very happy about this. It was a very sad, regretable thing that Amy & Vince did. Shame on them both.

for about 3-4 weeks before my grandfather died I played this for him every day in the hospital. We finally got hospice to let him get back home so that he could be there when he died.....One of my worst days ever, that was over ten years ago and he liked it so much at home we played it at the funeral services and HIS were the only dry ones there.

This was written by Vince when one of his best friends, Keith Whitley, died of alcoholism. He was a gifted, kind gentle man who struggled with drinking all his short life - he died fairly young. His biggest hits were "I'm no Stranger to the Rain" (Vince refers to it in this song) and "Don't Close Your Eyes" - a beautiful song written by John Denver. Keith was married to country singer Lori Morgan. Vince was devastated by Keith's death and wrote this goodbye to him
