Yeah, so OS 9 wasn't good at multi-tasking, it took a bit of fiddling to set the right memory allocations for apps, but it was not horribly bloated like Vista or Leppa. Trouble shooting conflicts was fun with the extensions manager and the last update (9.2.2) was only 21meg! Try getting an O.S update that small nowadays. Sob-sob boo-hoo, pass me my pipe and slippers.

This brought a tear to my eye. I wish Apple would re-instate Classic Apple Menu, so much easier with one drop down menu, nice interface with no fancy video effects. Window shade kicked ass too.

Yeah, Xerox were actually paid... in Apple stocks, lol.
Also, Apple bought the GUI concept from Xerox. But it was APPLE who refined it and turned it into windows, I mean, mac os.

DOS NOT created by Bill Gates, It was Bought for$ 50,000 from some guy in seattle or Portland. And Apple was started in 1976. I think Microsoft was 1981-85 somewhere. |
