Lesson learned, don't leave a tractor running and in gear with its wheels spinning and jump into them from the cab.
I feel terrible for the guy and his family, but what on earth was he thinking?

if your take the keys out of a vehichle you have shut off the power. It can't hurt anyone. The force of the engine will always be enough to hurt you.

You're missing the point, the death could have been prevented had the Operator just put the Tractor out of transmission.
The other measures would be more useful in preventing the entire situation where the Trailer became uncontrollable. |
