not onboard with the hatchback or die issue they married, but 'roo' still feels like a kangaroo at heart and I guess that makes it lovable. On the performance end it's nose to nose in most respects with a certain mitsu, and even inches ahead in some important fields (how important is a good transmition? yea, thought so).

exactly dude!! but the thing is that most of the subaru owners don't know how to use all that power and end up in a dish or stick into a pole... :)

Problem is that all of the serious abuse you see is to a prepped car, not a stock one. That's why at the end all you see the new STi doing is a few tame slides.
It's too bad subaru doesn't offer an option to have your new STi prepped by VTSportsCar.

But I still despise the taillights they slapped onto the back of it. It's a cluster of chrome LED's and it makes the entire car look like straight up ass.
