I'm a big BYU sports fan but I will never go to the school. The Honor Code is a joke. Guy's hair can't grow past the ears, no facial hair(although Brigham Young and Jesus had beards), No swearing, No sex, No parties, Ridicules curfews, Guys and girls cannot live in the same apartment building, not apartments, BUILDINGS, LDS students must go to church on Sunday, while non-LDS students don't, I believe everyone must take a religion class. Oh and no MySpace. You can go on Facebook but not MySpace.

can't stand BYU, what happened there doesn't suprise me. It is a private University like they just said and they have every right to control media/speech but good grief what a loser university it is.

So what's the whole issue here? I don't get it? They didn't approve of 'Cheney' speaking at BYU? Wow, not only is that a slap in the face of the leaders of America, but also seems like a childish tantrum thrown in the face of the BYU administration. There are hard issues in politics and I don't know why people can't simply politely disagree.
LOL @ the end... "WAAAAA" I WANT MY HANDMADE SIGN BACK! I MADE IT MYSELF AND IT'S RILLY COLORFUL-SCARY SUIT MAN STOLE IT FROM ME!

Oh no no no the educational opportunity I'm definitely grateful for, and I'm working hard to take advantage of it. It's a good school and I'm glad I get the chance to earn a degree here, but the people and their philosophies and attitudes towards life are unbearable. I got into several other schools that are just as good if not better than BYU, but I was forced by my unreasonable parents to go here. Wanna trade?

I would absolutley love to be at BYU right now. I only wish it could happen. Be thankful that you can be there right now. Be thankful for this great opportunity. You get out of it what you put into it.

myway43,
You summed it up perfectly. BYU students are like 5-year-olds begging for a cookie from the Mommy University.

They were allowed to protest. They're permit had expired at 1:00 P.M. End of story. I am sure the same policy is upheld for all. As for the concerned persons here, they seem to want to push the limits of what the University will allow. Kind of like when a 5 year old pushes to get a second cookie when his Mother already said he could just have one.

You could have just summed it up, "Getmethere" do you need me to get you to the constitution so you can read it? Don't bother arguing logically with these people, we should argue non-sensically like they do.
