I agree. Dynasty was the classic. It wasn't "high art" but that wasn't the point was it? It was about escape. They should revive it like 90210. It could center around the infighting grandchildren and have Alexis,Krystal and Heather Locklear et al come back as guest stars. They could make it even racier!

Also...The majority of the fight makes the water appear to be waist-deep, but it's not. Linda Evans was on a talk show saying they filmed most of this on their knees. Plus at the end of the fight, Krystle rises out of the water at 2:38 revealing the actual depth of the pond!!

homeric9, I never noticed that, but you're right!! It appears as though Alexis whooped Krystle over the head with the hat several times, when it was probably only once, and it was just looped. It fooled me for quite awhile, until I looked closer.Thanks. Another giveaway is Krystle's body movement after being struck once.

I like DSM a lot myself but the single catfight they had so far couldn't hold a candle to Dynasty - or Melrose Place for that matter.

Yepper! Although in the mid 70s on the CBS soap Love of Life they had the first uttering of the word "bastard". Meg (Tudi Wiggins) was referring to her son Ben (Christopher Reeve)'s daughter since his marriage to his daughter's mother was bigamous. Ben was later imprisoned where he was supposed to have been sodomized. The Shapiros & the Pollocks wrote for LOL in the early 70s.

Alexis hitting Krystle is double looped, it appears Alexis got one hit with the hat but the final edit contained 2 hits. The giveway is Linda's hairline as it shifts during the clip.
