it is mostly scenes from the move 'all quiet on the western front' which is based on a really good novel. it is in the perspective of german soldiers in world war one, and it is probably the best book i've ever read.

There are no real Front Movies of WWI they are all "fake" (Propaganda-Movies) made years later after the War.

A few points! Firstly, this is about WW1, not WW2. Secondly, in WW2 the French did not surrender, they were overun and a puppet installed by the Germans. The french formed a government in exile; as did the Polish. If the USA shared a land border with Germany the US army of 1939/40 would have been overan also. Thirdly if not for the French there would be no USA, without the army sent by France the USA would not have sucessfully won independance from England. So you both owe each other!
