PLEASE COMMENT ON WHAT DIME MENT TO YOU...added words here also WATCH IN LARGE FORMAT EASIER TO READ... Made this out of respect, to DARRELL, his family, friends, and fans like myself... I am a big fan of darrells, pantara and Damgeplan, and I make AMVs (Animation Music Videos), I used Cowboys from Hell for my final fantasy amv, I told myself if ever I used a Dimebag song I would pay tribute to him in some sort of way...Well this is my way... I put in this words quoted from ZAKK, and EDDIE VAN HALEN, the tribute of the video of the river, and how DIMEBAG lost his life... pics I got from the internet, and the words I took from Wikipedia... ...hope all of you all remember him in your own special way, weather he influenced your guitar playing, way you live life, how you treat others, DIMEBAG was a beautiful human being and we learn alot from ppl like him... well thanx R.I.P. DIMEBAG YOUR LEGEND WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.... NAPPYHO.. video writen words Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society) " He was beyond beautiful. When he'd walk in the room, he'd light it up. Fuck the guitar playing - he's right up there with Eddie and Randy and Hendrix. All he wanted to do was make everyone happy. He was the ray of sunshine. Dime will never die ever -- he's in my veins. He's sitting at God's tavern, having a cold one with Randy Rhoads and Hendrix. Dime was an original. " # # The song "In This River", from the Black Label Society album Mafia was written before Dimebag's death and later dedicated to Dimebag by his good friend Zakk Wylde. The music video to this song dwells on their friendship, featuring two young boys, both dressed up as Zakk and Dime swimming in a river. At the beginning, the two boys refer to one another as "Dime" and "Zakk." It ends with Dime being taken by the river. Some months before his murder, Darrell had found out from one of his industry contacts that Eddie Van Halen and Charvel guitars were going to produce a limited-edition series of guitars bearing Van Halen's trademark tape-striping. Van Halen himself would be individually taping each guitar and they would also come with a picture of him doing so and a certificate of authenticity. According to Eddie, Darrell called him on the phone and asked if he could purchase one before they became available. Eddie replied that the next time he saw Darrell, he would have one of the guitars with him and would stripe it in Darrell's presence as a gift. Before they could meet again, Darrell was murdered. Eddie recounted this story when he spoke at Darrell's funeral, then, to the surprise of those in attendance, he brought out the black and yellow tape-striped guitar seen on the back cover of Van Halen II(which Darrell had said was his favorite guitar of Eddie's) and laid it in Darrell's casket to be buried with him. On December 8, 2004, (the anniversary of the death of John Lennon, who died in similar circumstances) while performing with Damageplan at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag Darrell Abbott was shot and killed onstage by Nathan Gale. Abbott was shot a total of five times, at point-blank range in the back of the head. He was 38 years old. UPDATE On May 17, 2007 Dimebag Darrell was posthumously inducted into Hollywood's RockWalk, the only sidewalk gallery dedicated to honoring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of rock 'n' roll. [1] At the 2007 Download Festival in Donington, England, the second stage has been titled "The Dimebag Darrell Stage". Vinnie Paul (DIMES BROTHER) will be appearing at the festival with Hellyeah.

Listen, just because he was a decent bass player and he's dead, doesnt mean that we all have to worship the guy. Pantera sucked balls, damageplan sucked balls, Rebel Meets Rebel sucked balls. Get lives you faggots.

R.I.P Dime! You took Pantera and heavy metal to a new level! The riffs that you made have influenced so many bands to a heavier level.. You will always live in the music that you created and you will always rock in our hearts!
