I lost my dad in this horrible mines. My family and I are still saddened by this but we are sticking together to make each day as bright as we can and to hold onto the memories that we have of my dad. He was a great christian and I know where my day and the other 11 men are at and one day I will join my father once again. I want to thank the one who put this together you done a very good job.........THANK_YOU... I want to add that my family and I still pray for the other miners families.

I stayed up half the night waiting on these men to come out alive! I don't know what it was about this story but I just could not help but STAY. I was still waiting when the first person came up saying they were all gone! OMG It was horrific! I went to bed and cried for the families and Thanked God 4 Randy. I never met the man but pray that someday I can shake his hand! This story still weighs very heavy on my heart and mind. Enjoy your life Randy!! :) - Parkersburg WV

this was indeed a very sad event, and the false hope given, my uncle who was one of the survivors that got out after the blast, same thing here lishapoo, this hurt many people and it very possibly could have been avoided

This is a good video, it just pisses me off. My uncle was one of those miners and listening to the mine officials talking, knowing what I know now, pisses me off.
But the video all together is great.

I livein Buckhannon, West Virginia and I remember that day perfectly. I was awakened by this deep rumbling that even rattled the windows of my house, and I live a few miles away from the mine! It was horrible and very hard...a long waiting game that turned this county upside down in a matter of 3 days. Thank you for posting this! |
