Incidentally, his idea matches ways taught by Buddha towards Enlightenment. To match the western idea, don't we talk about returning to God. If there's we hold so much individual ego, then how can we go back to God or Enlightenment etc (as how different culture/race perceive)? Our current strong developed identity of being developed human race, if fact, has sadly set the world off balance: nature is destroyed, animals going extinct ... ultimately it leads back endangering ourselves.
