I dont think Micheal thinks life is an accident or a mistake, rather, (oddly) a choice. I agree with you saying that our existence here is not an accident or mistake.
Nice to know your mind is not for rent BTW ;)

Soon we won't have to wipe our own asses... pretty sad.

our techology is evolving so fast , that we are devolving

Incidentally, his idea matches ways taught by Buddha towards Enlightenment. To match the western idea, don't we talk about returning to God. If there's we hold so much individual ego, then how can we go back to God or Enlightenment etc (as how different culture/race perceive)?
Our current strong developed identity of being developed human race, if fact, has sadly set the world off balance: nature is destroyed, animals going extinct ... ultimately it leads back endangering ourselves.

"however, if a conscious being gives up it's connection with the source of all conscious beings, it enters into the lower levels of the cosmos, it enters into the regions of mind and matter and becomes covered with those elements, so that is what i mean by devolution". cremo's saying that the material world is a lower level being. we arrived here by devolving into more primitive forms of being. in other words, the material world is imperfect and in order to reverse the process of

devolution, we must reconnect with the source of all things by detatching ourselves from this world. i know exactly what i'm talking about sankya, you don't know fuck all about philosophy. this world may be filled with pain, but it is always by way of pain that one arrives at pleasure. this world is the highest level of being, not the lowest. cremo has forsaken this world and the will to power. you and cremo are the ones who are devolving.
longinusmaximus (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
sure i do, i know what the fuck i'm talking about. most forms of spirituality are the same, anti life and pro death. man wouldn't need to invent the spirit world if he was mostly satisfied with this world. anyway, go fuck yourself sankya. my opinion is that you and cremo don't know shit about shit.
Sankyaphilosophy (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
You dont know what you are talking about. Dont disrespect Cremo he does good work.
Dont spam us with your nonsense.
Are you a shill?

you missed the entire thesis, watch the end again.
longinusmaximus (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
so in cremo's view, life is essentially an accident, or a mistake. our purpose is not live life to it's fullest, but to overcome or escape life. that's about as negative of a philosophy as you can get. i enjoy having an identity. i do not wish to be dissolved into the collective conciousness, assuming such a thing even exists. i think we have come to inhabit this world not by accident or mistake, |
