Actually there is no Ventura Highway. It is the Ventura Freeway, Highway 101 that runs from Hollywood through the San Fernando Valley then to Ventura. It only runs down the coast from Ventura to Santa Barbara and is a very beautiful stretch of highway. The stretch of PCH your referring to is PCH State Highway 1 from Santa Monica to Pt. Mugu. PCH has a very eclectic name and gets its name changed many times from town to town, but it is still highway 1. Either way, the song is Bitchin'.

Great song. Never knew why so many people make a big deal about the line 'alligator lizards in the air', it's just about cloud formations..that's all.
