I agree that is one instrument. He is using a tremolo technique and the reason why you think it's two guitars is because he has good separation between the melody and harmony, something that should be done well in classical guitar

I've been watching his fingers and each note is accounted for with a finger movement. My ear training isn't so good, but even i can pick that out. I'm trying to practice this technique, It sounds so amazing

thats bs man this guy is playing it with one guitar because as u may see he is sing al of his three finger to play the melody and only his thumb to play the bass. I play that too and when i release my fingers on my left hand it sounds just like that. Dont make up bs if u dont kno anything about this

dude, that's two instruments, of course. he's accompanying probably a taped 12-stringed instrument. look at some parts where he releases his fingers and you could still hear the other instrument
