I like how these guys trashed like hell with a suit and tie. When you got it, you don´t need piercings, tatoos, colored hair, thorned jeans or t-shirts with stupid sayings.

Start by Charlie Parker, then Miles Davis who played with Parker when he was young, then Coltrane, who played with Miles when he was young, then ten guys who later played with Coltrane (McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones, Pharoah Sanders...) Miles (herbie hancock, tony williams, wayne shorter...).

I heard that Coltrane is "avante-garde" jazz? I find jazz hard to get into but all jazz musicians sound amazing, any tips on where to start?

John Coltrane, and this wonderful quartet, are some of the best things in music history, yesterday, today, and forever...

I like how you think there is no time happening here. Listen to McCoy. He's hitting that E consistently every two bars. but all jazz is free jazz. That's why it's jazz. Jazz that isn't free is that shit they play on the radio.

Jazz... as universal a language as a smile. Unspeakably superb.
