Your daughter is beyond fortunate to have you as a mother. We can raise children that "get it". And encourage them to move the masses and the culture to a place of recognizing that we are a society-- not sole individuals. I know many young people who see this commercial media machine for what it is-- these are kids that have taken media litercay courses, and young adults who are being raised in environments where worth is about ethics, action, and humanitarian values.

Thank you Dr. Jean Kilbourbe. With people as passionate and educated and outspoken as you, there is a chance to neutralize that poison-- I know that your work has moved and influenced the thinking of many of my own students, male and female.

70% of kids have TVs in their bedroom? What is the age of these kids? I'm guesing it's NOT under the age of 2 like you said shouldn't have "screen time".
