The sad thing is you may be right...

Yes that is probably true but the sad fact is that they've probably already have been importing their ingredients for a long time now as well as just about every other brewer mentioned on here and I would even venture to say that a lot of the local microbrewers do the same thing. There's nothing really 100% American anymore. That comes from decades of people voting in Presidents and other public officials that are under the thumb of the CFR, and guess what, it's going to happen again this year.

Even if they brew it in the US, chances are it will be with much cheaper Brazilian barley and rice. Budweiser is as American now as beer & waffles. Thank God for the local microbrewers.

It's Bush's fault for starting a war, the debt for which was floated with bonds sold to Chinese banks, which, in turn devalued the currency. InBev bought AB at fire sale prices because the dollar is worth a fraction of what it was. Hell, they got such a bargain, they even paid in cash!

Fuck Budweiser, or InBev, or whatever the hell that swill is now called. I'm on my way to Harpoon brewery on Boston's waterfront, my half-gallon growler in hand. At least I know where that stuff is made.

Support your local micros.....

I'll continue to drink budweiser as long as it says it's brewed in the USA but when that day ceases to exist then I'll make a switch. I don't care who owns the company as long as they still make the product here. It's the workers that make it an American made product not the owners.

Nobody showed any respect or support for the people who depended on the motorcycle industry, or those who depended on the electronics industry, or those who depended on the auto industry, or those who depended on the textiles industry. In other words, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on respect or support from people in this country if I was you. |
