Here's what I think is shocking: the fact that capitalism is somehow 'radical' and 'disastrous' in the eyes of Naomi Klein, whereas every alternative in history has proven to be monstrous if not genocidal. Pick whichever one you like, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Kim Jong Il...
Even moderate anti-capitalist rulers have never created prosperity and freedom to the extent that it exists in capitalist societies.

I wonder if Naomi Klein is being a bit idealistic about information in general. Is information always shock proof? And can we always be "fully informed"?

it´s necssary make the different between free market and neo liberalism, and find a balance between social and economical growing. Just an intermediate point, and that´s something that America doesn´t know to reach. Northamericans are always waiting for to attack and latin-americans always thinking in revolution.
The day America learn from Europe and reach the ballance, everything will be easyer.
