consider yourself lucky you get to read a romance!! i've always wished that one of the classics like pride and prejudice would be assigned instead of LOTF or TKAM. <3. I love jane austen :D

Some say that may be because this was the love story that had the most to do with Jane Austen's life itself, that this was the character and situation she had the most insight to... That's only guesswork of course, but judging from the way the book is written I'd say there definitely is something there. All her novels are wonderful though!**

OH good lord thank you so much for posting this movie. I didn't know there is a movie and I'm meant to read it for an English class and i'm incredibly sorry to Austen fans but this really is one of the most boring books i have tried (yes tried) to read EVER.
but this movie is making it so much easier to get through it.

This simply the most beautiful depiction of the book. Hawkins plays her charater wonderfully, so haunting in the begining. You begin to see youthful blossom in Anne that the book describes!
Thanks for the post, tis perhaps the 20th time I am watching it.
