Stormtjakka, the Ledger version was not an experiment. The original Joker was a psycho. Just the way in The Dark Knight. It's only after people thought he was too violent for that era, that's when they made him more of a softer, comedic character.

They both played the Joker two different ways. Nicholson played him like a villian who gives comedy. Ledger played him as a scary, mass-murdering clown. Don't get me wrong, Nicholson did good, but Ledger wins by far. He needs an Oscar! He better get it!

Nicholson was way more as the Comic-Joker Whereas they kinda experimented with Ledger
