Well whether we like it or not, this has put Fallout back into the mainstream again. YEs, the plot line does not come close to the masterpieces that were F1 & 2, but people in the mainstream are talking about it, and actually saying great things about the gameplay. Maybe, just maybe, F4 will be a blend of the good parts of all 3.

I love this song. I just never get tired of hearing it. This is one of the memorable things about Fallout 2.

I played Fallout 1+2 for years, and just finished fallot 3. Where does it say that the enclave is responsible for the experiments?

Their is a cage in the basement area. You unpick the lock and a deathclaw jumps out and starts rampaging through the base. ^^

theres no enclave in f1
in f2 they create they destroy your village and kidnap the survivors.
Then they try to release a virus that kills everyone who lived in the wasteland for some years without protection. It´s the same virus as in F3 (not very creative by bethesda since the virus spread via air in f2)
The enclave is a secret prewar organisation around the president of the united states, they are responsible for the sick experiments that have taken place in the vaults

I install Fallout 2 just to hear this song over and over. Play it again, Louis.

The story in FO3 is so short and two-dimensional compared to the masterpiece of FO1 and 2. Hell, they borrowed generously from those stories for their own, but somehow managed to dumb it down for no apparent reason. I can't believe the mainstream just mindlessly praises FO3 |
