Karen Carpenter died of a mixture of Aneroxia Nervosa and Bulimia. I know that sounds strange but years ago in college, my teacher mentioned that was indeed the case. She would starve herself and when anyone made her eat, would throw it up. When she was put into a hospital for help, she gained about 30 lbs in a week and her heart couldn't take it. It gave up. And it all started when she read (as a teen) that a critic called her "chunky"

I am a singer as well been doing it since I was a little girl. I love this song it was my mothers favourite. All I think of when I hear it in my mom looking down on me from heaven.

I cannot possibly describe in 500 chars or less how I feel watching this.They were different from anything before them, at the time they were great and of course today and since I heard a fair amount of music in my life that statement from me contains a lot of respect.Überweird in a sense yes, but with an, sorry for the superlative, incredible sense for melody and rythmn seldom come by in popular music.Love them or hate them - but they were different.
