Malmsteen is all about cramming as many notes as possible in a song as fast as possible. Whether the notes make sense sounds like is hardly considered. It's almost like he's unable to hold a note for anything over 0.1 second. That + his claims of being the fastest guitarist make him a no-go for me. Anyone has a right to an own opinion though.

I don't like you comparing PG to Yngwie. Yngwie is a chubby, cocky kid who can shred, but doesn't even know the word rhythm or feeling.

The uneducated invigorate me. I was responding to the poorly poorly worded comment by gl5027. Since there is no direct object, as well as some massive run-on occuring, I was assuming that he was saying that Paul Gilbert was in fact the taget of the attack. If you look at my channel, it will become instantly apparent that Paul Gilbert is my favorite guitarist. Sorry for the misinterpretation...

agree i think that we don't have the best guitar player in the world today.....we have lot's of guitar players that play diferent styles....but it's hard to choose the best.... PG is awsome....Slash, Nuno Bettencourt, Malmsteen,Kiko Loureiro...they are all great guitars players....but i don't like Malmsteen for exemple....but, he is a great guitar player

I think the main point is that there is nothing that slash could play that Gilbert couldn't play prerfectly, but slash would struggle with a lot of pauls stuff. PG really is awesome, he even intimidates satch, now thats tough!
