If their network is terrible, why was it possible for me to pull 3Mbit EASILY with my Tilt? I tethered it to my laptop while on vacation and had no problems with slowness. The issue is with the CPU in the iPhone. It is not as fast as the commercials claim it is. The network is fine with other 3G phones. Hmmmmmmm.

WHATEVER! Try doing any of those things on a windows mobile phone, and the you'll know the pain and agony of waiting... The issue isn't the phone you dolt, it's the damn network! AT&T's logo resembles the Death Star for a reason... they're the AntiChrist of the communications industry, which is a position they share with Qwest communications. Apple proved its technical superiority whith a product that NOBODY has caught up to yet. I say this as a developer for windows mobile devices.

Actually the new ads say that. The original unslow ad without any such qualifier. I believe most if not all of Apple's current crop of iPhone ads run with the fine print 'sequence shortened'. I don't have any problem with that. I'm glad they made the correction.

good video, tho 3g performance will vary even if one has five bars. no web flash and safari slow down web loading speeds. As far as lag with apps and such, i feel lag is almost a thing of the past.

Of course its not as fast as in the ad , this is an ad ! what kind of idiot can make a video to compare an ad and the reality ? what's next ? Is coca cola as sweet as it is said in the ad?

I love my iPhone. It's fast, very fast! I don't care if anybody says otherwise. And it's the best phone ever made in my opinion. For all you guys who think otherwise. I don't give a rat's ass. Don't by an iPhone then, get a windows mobile piece of crap phone and be happy with it. I really don't care, because: I LOVE MY IPHONE !!!!!

i hate apple, but honestly that real world 3g phone seems really slow...i live in America too, and I have a few friends with 3G iphones and theres are definitely faster than that...I even live on the outskirts of a 3G area in a small town and the 3G is better than this video.
but not nearly as fast as apple commercials ;) |
