Crestview, Florida--Violent Home Invasion

Crestview, Florida--- The Crestview Police Department is investigating a violent home invasion that occurred sometime late Sunday afternoon at 205 Aza Place, off First Street, near Durrell Lee Park. Police responded to the scene after receiving a 911 phone call stating that something was wrong at the Aza Place address. When they arrived they found a 28-year-old female who had been tied up and beaten. She had been found by her boyfriend who placed the 911 call. The victim was taken by EMS to the North Okaloosa Medical Center for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Crestview Police investigator, Lt. Jamie Grant said that the victim had given a good description of her assailant. Grant said the suspect is a 6 foot tall heavy built black male wearing a hooded type sweat shirt, black pants and black boots.
