the ocean takes the place of my god. id dont worship it but i respect it because its the most destructive and life giving force on this planet and in my eyes has proved itself stronger than any god. Mother nature is strong too but mother nature came from the ocean and so did life on this planet and as easy as that it can destroy everything

My whole point is I think we have souls and don't understand why people think it's nothing for eternity after we die. I suggest you read my previous comments.

Have you ever wondered why you weren't George Washington or Martin Luther King?

John 3:16
God so loved the world he gave his only son and who ever believes in him will never die but have eternal life.

does there have to be a reason? maybe. either way, you can believe whatever you feel is right and find out for yourself at the end of the line.

To people who believe life is between
two complete nothingness, I don't understand
why they had to be born in the first place.

By the same logic are you telling me that terrorists who are willing to be 'ridiculed, tortured or even die' for their beliefs are right? Or that the kamikaze pilots of WW2's beliefs were also right and justified? Just because you are willing to die for your beliefs doesn't make them any more real.
And of course Jesus' existence is up for argument. Anything that has questionable, hazy or incomplete evidence is up for argument. Such is the beauty of continuous education.

But the thing is that I am worthless to someone who will never know I existed and I am fine that way. I would treat any of the six billion people in this world with human dignity and respect if I met them, but the fact is that there are some people I whose existence will be nothing to me. That's fine. My life is meaningful because I make it so. My identity is but my self-assessment of my actions and beliefs. Existentialism is my philosophy. It works, try it. |
