DaveGore69.. Who are you to judge how others spend their time? Perhaps you should never go to a movie or watch TV. People who make movies waste gas, consume energy, etc. Perhaps you should never read a book. A factory printed it, trucked it to the store which all consume energy so that you could read. Perhaps we should all just stop living and become hermits. Perhaps you are spending too much time on your computer...etc etc. Well, really, I don't know why I am wasting my time on you. Cheers

I too have never really viewed Geocaching as a 'sport,' to be honest, but everything else you said was pretty...well...wrong. Tons of people ride bikes to nearby caches and the only time you'll ever use a computer for it would be to get the coords and log the cache in. Very few of the caches Ive found couldve been found by parking alongside the road and immediately finding it. Not to mention that Geocaching is often done WITH FAMILIES and we're supposed to pick up litter when we cache.

Geocaching is not a sport, it is done by people that say they love the world, but waste so much gas driving to caches, it is using a computer and looking around...most of the caches are set within car reach. Geocachers ignore their families, and spend a lot of money and time doing a useless thing when they could spent that time and money doing useful things for the world
