You don't have to shift at 9000rpm in every gear. That's kind of a ridiculous notion. I saves gas to shift at lower rpm's. It is a little strange that the author revs it up high and then shift up two gears in succession at cruising speed. Also, I usually stay in gear at a light in case I need to move quickly out of the lane. I personally wouldn't feel real comfortable rolling up to a light in neutral, but to each his own.

Wow listen to all the armchair experts! I ride my bike just the same way, shifting into N and racing up to speed then shifting into high gear to cruise. What's wrong with that? All those bikers that sit up at a stop light, they're still in gear? No. And if you're cruising at highway speed do you stay in 2nd gear? 2nd gear will take you to about 140km/h (85mph). So what's the problem here kids? And can you be more specific than just "that's so dumb" or "pff" or "you'll see the difference"?

You r quite right. But it's not the case. Author riding just well. Full throttle on low revs can hurt the engine, and TOO low revs about 2-3k constantly. Exceedingly high revs lowering down engine durability also.

Why does everyone get so fired up when they watch someone's video, then rip it apart? I say he should be able to ride his bike any way he wants to. You go Mr. red light nuetral shifting man, ride on! BTW I have an 2007 FZ6 and I love it. It's easy on the back and is still respectibly fast.

man, fz6 engines are loud, they scream a lot so do not worry if get to 9.000 or 10.000 rpm, thats where the engine gives you the best of it. dont change 2 gears that fast, change one and let the engine go up.. then change again. and please dont put neutral at stops like that. man, you need to learn.
