Bill really decided to waste Ron's evening. With so much to talk about (ie: WAR!!!!, Habeas Corpus, etc) Bill decided to chat about things that even if Ron were to be elected he couldn't do with a swipe of a pen. What a waste of time. Too bad Bill didn't take the time to talk about Ron's vision for America. Bill also didn't congratulate Ron on winning the Tax Payers Friend Award ( http://tinyurl.com/2ha6yw ). I guess Bill decided Ron's opinion on how the civil war could of been avoided and settled in a peaceful resoultion to free the slaves was more important. Damn Bill, I thought you were going to ask some tough questons. Brief Overview of Congressman Paul's Record * He has never voted to raise taxes. * He has never voted for an unbalanced budget. * He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership. * He has never voted to raise congressional pay. * He has never taken a government-paid junket. * He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch. * He voted against the Patriot Act. * He voted against regulating the Internet. * He voted against the Iraq war. * He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program. * He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year. Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress. Let me get this straight. When other nations sponsor terrorism they are wrong, when the CIA does it, hell it's ok?? Come on dude: There's plenty to criticize about politicians without being retarded. When Sarah Palin wanted someone to explain to her what a VP does, she was making a rhetorical point that the VP doesn't do anything. It was a joke.

Also. Who is this Bill Maher guy anyway? NEVER heard of him before...He should crawl back to his ghetto. Fucking douche-fag.

Ron Paul should've been president. It's a shame he was neglected. I cannot believe that people with almost infinite wisdom, knowledge, and truth such as Ron are not as famous or as supported as people with infinite lack of knowledge, stupidity, and lies, such as McCain/Sarah Palin.

In a time when news is talking point regurgitation, "The Daily Show," "Real Time" and "Colbert Report" always swing the spotlight where it needs to shine. These COMEDY shows tell the truth about issues of self-righteous repression like Intelligent Design and Praying The Gay Away. And they DON'T make it sound like there are two rational sides when there AREN'T. Keep it up, guys! For a comic take on society's repression of homosexuality, do a YouTube search for "MAYBE GAY RAY"

i dont like some of Paul's opinions but he really does know his stuff... Maher was not asking easy questions and Paul never stumbled once or tried to dodge a question. Republicans could use more like him

Come on, you aren't seriously still talking about that credulous woman from Alaska who can't tell Nicholas Sarkosy from Inspector Clouseau..?

and btw albeit u and i have hinted a minute amount of bias and ignorance i can still say and admit what i have done but you have committed hypocrisy and at first you comment fuming with anger calling all the ron paul voters paultards (whatever that means) and effing idiots and in this comment you act completely dissembling with your "you denounce an entire country as idiots" and "see past your own bias u think yourself smarter" but u know what i think it is you who thinks themselves smarter
ali921812 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
oh now i shouldnt have a say in our presidential election i called the people who voted for her retarded no one else (dont put words in my mouth) its not bias to call ignorant people ignorant nor is it evil to say Sarah Palin is not fit to be president what is evil is the words fuming into your comment restricting people from voting because they wish to speak their mind remember this is the 21 century America not 15th century Britain ruled by white Christians with an immense burden

one She was elected governor of Alaska, and left there with an 80% approval rating. two Here is another reason why people like you should not have a say in how we pick our president. Denouncing an entire state (even those who didn't vote for her) as idiots. You lack the judgment to see past your own bias and you think yourself smarter than everyone else while trumpeting your ignorance to the world.

one what are u talking about where the hell did you get these stats she didn't even run for anything she was picked to be a vice president which is quite surprising considering she didnt know at the time what a vice president did two so what that just proves that the residents of Alaska are plain retarded (well at least the people that voted for her) lol oh no their are alot more dumb people in america then smart people lol i think we learned that the second time bush got elected
