This is the US Presidency, most Americans don't take it as a joke. They voted Obama because he was clearly the better candidate.

The people that voted Obama because he's black wouldn't be considered "racist". Racism is the belief that other races are inferior to your own, so chances are racists and supremacists wouldn't vote on a black president.
